ST. PETER, Minn.
- Student athletes from more than 20 schools including Bethel University participated in the Lee Krough Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College. Among the top contenders for the Royals was Vanessa Moore (Sr., Grantsburg, Wis.), who earned an NCAA provisional mark in the high jump.

Moore's leap of 1.66 meters (5 feet, 5.25 inches) ranks in the top four among other Division III athletes so far this season, and puts her in good position to compete at the national meet in Marietta, Ohio, in May. Moore also earned a fifth place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.39 seconds.
Michaela Otto

Fellow teammate Leah Jackson (Sr., Fridley, Minn.) finished the 100 meter dash in ninth place at 13.72 seconds, but finished fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.58 seconds. The Royals had one other fifth place finish, and that was in the 100 meter hurdles, as Michaela Otto (Jr., Cottage Grove, Minn.) finished with a time of 16.93 seconds

Heather Jelen (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) had a strong showing in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.13, which was good for third place behind two runners from upper division NCAA schools.

The Royals are scheduled to compete in the Manitou Classic hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., on Saturday, April 18, for their next meet.
