Royals Celebrate Outreach Opportunities for Division III Week

By Austin Lagesse - Asst. Sports Information Director

Although we cannot celebrate in person at the field, on the court or at the track the Royals will highlight the academic and athletic accomplishments of present and former student-athletes each day with feature stories online at BethelRoyals.com. Fans and student-athletes are also encouraged to engage on our social platforms Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #D3week and #BURoyals

Today we highlight the outreach and volunteer activities our teams have been up to as well as recent mission trips.

Jake Marsh Wooden Cup

Senior Jake Marsh was announced as a Wooden Citizenship Cup semifinalist, one of 31 student-athletes across all NCAA divisions and sports to be selected. The Wooden Citizenship Cup highlights the best role models in athletics, taking into consideration character traits, service to the community and athletic achievements.

Marsh helped lead a Christian English-learning camp for Ukrainian kids of all ages those two weeks, a human jungle gym and someone to literally look up to. The last night of camp, he wanted to ask his small group of teenage boys if they would give their lives to Jesus. But the language barrier was too big for Marsh to tell them by himself.

“Knowing I now have friends across the world, not only at Bethel, who care for me, that’s special."
Jake Marsh
