| ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT |
The Bethel Athletic Communications Office is seeking student assistants to work as part of the communications staff during the school year. Student workers will assist the external relations team to plan and execute gameday promotional activities and improve fan experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist sport contact with all necessary set-up duties (day before and/or day of contest)
- Print and distribute box scores to appropriate individuals during and post-contest
- Assist with in-game statistics (spotting, inputting, and/or calling)
- Acquire and document post-game quotes (coaches & players from both teams)
- Video post-game press conferences (sport specific)
- Creating content for BethelRoyals.com including but not limited to: press releases, game notes, competition previews, recaps, features, QAs
- Various post-game duties (sport specific) such as collecting of placards, filling of beverage cooler, etc.
- Opportunities for growth in using Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premier
- Assist in hosting any conference and national postseason events
- Assist with office responsibilities and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
- Responsible for attending home games for assigned sports (includes days, nights, weekends, school breaks including J-Term)
- Must be available for all home football games: 9/9, 10/30, 10/21, 11/4, 11/11
- Work at events outside of assigned sports as well as team meetings
- Interest in collegiate athletics
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- No experience required, all class years are encouraged to apply

The Bethel Athletic Communications Office is seeking student assistants to work on its statistics crew for the 2023-24 season. A limited number of positions are available for the upcoming academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Use statistical software to input live stats at sporting events
- Submit game files and scores to athletics website, conference office and NCAA
- Prepare summary reports for the media/coaches
Requirements:
- Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
- Responsible for attending 90% of home games for assigned sports (includes days, nights, weekends, school breaks including J-Term)
- Strong communication skills/ability to work on a team
- Interest in collegiate athletics
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- No experience required, all class years are encouraged to apply

The Bethel Athletic Communications Office is seeking a student writing contributor for the fall, spring or full academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Produce feature stories on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for BethelRoyals.com that includes interviewing coaches, student-athletes and alumni
- Write recaps for assigned sports
- Produce side-bar writing features for BethelRoyals.com
- Strong communication skills/ability to work on a team
Requirements:
- Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
- Responsible for attending home games for assigned sports (includes days, nights, weekends, school breaks including J-Term)
- Previous writing and feature story experience
- Interest in collegiate athletics
