 MIAC CHAMPIONS

Womens golf earn the 2019 MIAC Championship Title• 2019 •

Score: 941(315-318-308) // Pebble Creek Golf Club // Sept. 28-30
[Recap | Photo Gallery | Championship Homepage]

The Royals claimed the program's first-ever MIAC Championship in dramatic fashion overcoming a five-stroke deficit heading into the final day. No. 18 Bethel shot a tournament-best 308 in the final round edging out No. 15 St. Catherine by two strokes. Its 941 was the sixth-best 54 hole mark in MIAC Championship history and a program-best surpasing the previous mark of 956.

Coming off the 14th green in the final round, BU trailed by five strokes before the comeback began with back-to-back birdies from Ana Schwarz on the 15th and 16th green and a birdie from Nicole Miller on the 16th. Miller sealed the title with a par on the final hole.

While qualifying as a team for the 2020 NCAA Championships, the Royals did not have a chance to compete in the May event as the NCAA canceled all spring championships due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
