Bethel Baseball Staff

Head Coach: Greg Indlecoffer

Greg Indlecoffer
Greg Indlecoffer
Indlecoffer is in his 17th year of coaching college baseball and seventh year as head coach of the Bethel Royals.  The program continues to build momentum under strong leadership from the coaching staff as well as from the returning veteran players.  Highlights reflective of this leadership include the team setting a new school record for overall wins with 29 in 2004.  In 2005 the team won the conference team batting title with a .344 average and finished second in 2006 at .317.  Indlecoffer reached a personal milestone in 2007 by earning his 100th career win mark as a head coach.  Last season, the team finished 21-18 and 11-9 in conference, missing the playoffs by just one game for the third time in the past six seasons.  Encouraged by the progress, Indlecoffer remains intent in his calling to the Bethel University baseball program.  “This program at its core is about transformation – physically, mentally, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually.  We will strive to ‘let God transform us by changing the way we think.’” (Romans 12: 2b).  True transformation comes from the heart… and it’s what’s inside our heart that makes us who we are.  This team will play with a lot of heart.”

Indlecoffer graduated from Bethel in 1988 with a degree in physical education and then returned in 1996 to earn a master’s degree in education.  During his time at Bethel as a player, he established himself as a top NCAA Division III catcher, twice earning All-MIAC honors and receiving tryouts from the Cardinals, Mets, and Twins professional organizations.  As a coach, “Indo” spent his first 10 years as a top assistant to Ken Neuhaus, who while at Bethel, compiled a school record total of 265 wins in his 14 year tenure as head coach.  He also played overseas with the Athletes In Action baseball teams in 1986 and under Neuhaus in 1987 competing in Europe, Central America, and the California J-Hawk League.

A native of the Chicago area, Indlecoffer has a true passion for being a teacher of the game.  The staff is committed to providing a championship type experience for players while working to bring the team up to the top of a tough MIAC conference.

Indlecoffer is also the owner of Greater Twin Cities Baseball Schools which is committed to changing young lives through the game of baseball.  Camps are run at various times throughout the spring and summer months.  Private instruction is also available by appointment in hitting, fielding and catching.  Greg resides in Vadnais Heights along with his wife Traci, and children Hannah, Tessah, and Ross.
