ST. PAUL, Minn.—The Royals hosted the Gene Glader Classic Saturday, coming away with a number of strong performances, most notably a sweep in the women's 60-meter dash and a stellar showing in the 4x200-meter relay.
In the 60m,
Delia Labatt led the Bethel contingent across the line. Her time of 7.93 ranks second in the MIAC and fourth on Bethel's all-time list. Jill Krier ran a season best 7.98 to finish second.
AddieKay Johnson crossed the line in third, running 8.16.
That trio then teamed with
Hanna Frekot to win the 4x200 in a time of 1:46.02, the top mark in the conference and the fourth-fastest clocking in school history.
Frekot found individual success as well, winning the long jump for the second week in a row. Her mark of 17-2.75 (5.25m) currently ranks her third in the MIAC.
Hannah Steele won the high jump with a clearance of 4-11 (1.50m), narrowly missing a personal best.
Amy Reimer crossed the line first in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:14.83.
Allie Terpstra recorded a personal best of 9.61 to finish second in the 60-meter hurdles. That mark ranks her seventh on Bethel's all-time list.
Nicole Balzer and
Lydia Herath finished 2-3 in the 400-meter dash, running times of 1:02.60 and 1:03.64, respectively. Herath's time was a personal best by nearly 1.5 seconds.
The Royals recorded a 2-3 finish in the shot put as well, courtesy of
Courtney Hlavka (31-1.75, 9.49m) and
Anika Agerlie (29-1.25, 9.12m). Both of those marks were personal bests.
Sara Wegner debuted in the 200-meter dash, finishing third in 27.67.
Callie Chase ran 2:30.96 to grab the third spot in the 800-meter run.
Lindsay Johnson finished third in the mile, running 5:40.63.
