ST. PAUL, Minn.—The Royals used a strong final day to finish fourth as team in the MIAC Indoor Championship meet.
Annika Halverson, one day after winning the mile run, ran a personal best to finish second and earn All-MIAC honors in the 1,000 meters. Her time of 2:59.26 was an improvement of nearly one full second over her previous best.
The 4x400-meter relay finished second as well, running a season best 4:01.47. The quartet of
AddieKay Johnson,
Sara Wegner,
Nicole Balzer and
Delia Labatt earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention for their effort.
Individually, Wegner and Labatt finished in All-MIAC position in the 600-meter run and 200-meter dash, respectively. Wegner ran a personal best time of 1:38.57 to finish third and Labatt crossed the line in 25.78, also good for third place. Labatt's time, a personal best, was just .11 off the school record.
Emily Dahl stepped up in the high jump, earning All-MIAC with a surprise third-place finish. Dahl added almost two inches onto her personal best, clearing 5-1.25 (1.56 meters).
Hannah Steele also contributed in the high jump, tying her personal best 4-11.5 (1.51m) and finishing in a tie for seventh place.
In the long jump,
Hanna Frekot finished fourth, recording a season best mark of 17-4 (5.28m) and earning All-MIAC Honorable Mention.
Jill Krier lowered her personal best in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 26.53.
Lydia Herath took five seconds off her previous best in the 1,000 meters, running 3:07.90.
