RESULTS
NORTHFIELD, MINN.—
James Moyer finished sixth in the MIAC decathlon Friday evening with a score of 5,587 points, earning Honorable Mention All-MIAC honors on the strength of a gutsy personal record in the competition's final event, the 1,500-meter run.
Sitting at sixth heading into the 1,500, Moyer only needed to finish close to the seventh-placed athlete to hang onto honorable mention honors. He did just that, digging deep over the last 150 meters to cross the line in time of 4:45.32.
During the competition, Moyer also set personal records in the 100- and 400-meter dashes, the 110-meter hurdles and the discus and javelin throws.
Teammate
Kyle Stichman finished 17th in the competition, setting lifetime bests in the 100-meter dash, the 110-meter hurdles, the shot put and the discus and javelin throws.
Complete results from the competition will be posted when available.
