COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—The 4x100-meter relay blew away the field Saturday afternoon, earning All-MIAC honors and helping to lead the Royals to a fifth-place finish at the MIAC outdoor championship meet. The team of Jill Krier,
AddieKay Johnson, Danielle "Smiley" Peterson and
Hanna Frekot posted a time of 48.64, a season best and over 1.5 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Johnson produced strong performances in her individual events as well, finishing second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 400-meter dash. Both finishes were good for All-MIAC honors.
Krier grabbed a pair of All-MIAC Honorable Mention awards, finishing fifth in the 200 meters and sixth in the 100-meter dash.
Mollie Gillberg followed up her second-place finish in yesterday's 10,000-meter run with another runner-up finish, this time in the 5,000-meter. Gillberg crossed the line in a time of 18:06.11 to earn her second All-MIAC honor of the meet.
Annika Halverson ran her best race of the season at the right time, finishing in All-MIAC Honorable Mention position in the 1,500-meter final. Her time of 4:46.34 placed her fourth.
Erin Alpers crossed the line fifth in the 800-meter run to earn All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors.
