COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—
Tom Ritter made the final 10,000-meter run of his career one to remember, finishing fifth in a time of 33:06.40, his first time finishing in scoring position at a conference championship. That run earned him All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors.
In addition to Ritter,
James Moyer also scored points for the Royals, finishing eighth in the pole vault with a clearance of 14'1.75" (4.31 meters).
Keith Vollendorf,
Karl Olsen,
Patrick Klamm and
Jon Pytlak produced a time of 42.75 in the 4x100-meter relay, qualifying for the final with the second-fastest prelim time.
Olsen won his heat in the 200-meter dash to qualify for tomorrow's final.
Pytlak qualified for finals in the long jump, finishing ninth with a mark of 21'1.5" (6.44m).
In the 400-meter dash,
Carl Klamm won his heat to advance to the final.
Evan Hatton qualified for the final in the 800-meter run.
Colton Syler snuck in to the final of the 110-meter hurdles, grabbing the final qualifying spot.
In the final event of the night, the 4x800-meter relay finished in All-MIAC Honorable Mention position, placing sixth.
