ST. PAUL, Minn. – Freshman
Jon Pytlak led the way for the Royals at a soggy Bolstorff Twilight Meet on Thursday evening as he finished tied for third in the long jump (6.42 meters) and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.80 seconds.
Fellow freshman
Evan Hatton also notched a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.85 seconds.
Tom Ritter captured a lifetime best in the 5000-meter run, coming across the line in 15:31.32 which was good for 13
th place overall.
In the 110-meter hurdles, sophomore teammates
Phillip Anderson and
Colton Syler placed fourth and fifth respectively, finishing in 16.58 and 16.76 seconds.
Bryce DeBoer finished fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 51.02 meters and seventh in the shot put, recording a mark of 13.46 meters.
Bethel finished eighth out of 16 teams with a total of 31 points and they will now send several competitors to the highly anticipated Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa where they will compete in the 4x400-meter relay as well as the Sprint Medley.
