RESULTSNORTHFIELD, MINN.--A victory in the 4x400-meter relay capped off a successful day for the Bethel men at St. Olaf's Tostrud Classic Saturday. The squad of
Colton Syler,
Keith Vollendorf,
Phillip Anderson and
Marshal Lortie crossed the line in 3:33.51.
Earlier in the day, Syler and Anderson recorded a 2-3 finish in the 60-meter hurdles, running times of 8.94 and 8.96, respectively. Anderson's time was a personal best, while Syler set a season best time of 8.85 in the prelims, the MIAC's third best mark this season.
Senior
Christian Svennes set a massive personal best in the 3,000-meter run, running 9:07.32 to drop 25 seconds off his previous top mark.
Thomas Delich (Fr.) set new personal bests in the weight throw and the shot put, and sophomore
Taylor Huffman ran a new personal best in the 800 meters.
Next up for the Royals is Macalester's Kilt Classic, Friday, Feb. 26.
