Royals compete at Snowshoe Open

Phillip Anderson recorded a lifetime best mark in the 60-meter hurdles, running 8.97.
RESULTS

MINNEAPOLIS--Four Royals recorded personal bests Friday night at the University of Minnesota's Snowshoe Open.

Junior Ben Irons set a new mark of 47'0.25" (13.87 meters) in the weight throw, a foot-and-a-half improvement on his previous best. Junior Connor Haugen posted a time of 4:23.61 in the mile, bettering his previous top mark of 4:25.09 set last week.

Sophomores Dan Wahlstedt and Phillip Anderson improved their lifetime marks in the 600-meter run and the 60-meter hurdles, respectively. Wahlstedt ran a time of 1:24.40 and Anderson dipped under the nine-second barrier for the first time, running 8.97.

Colton Syler (So.) also finished the hurdles in 8.97, a season best time for him.

Junior Grant Walters threw a season best 43'7" (13.28m) in the shot put.

Bryce DeBoer (Sr.) finished third in the open division of the weight throw with a toss of 51'9.25" (15.78m).
