Bethel enters this weekend's 2015 Men's Indoor MIAC Track and Field Championships with great anticipation. The Royals, who are led by a healthy mix of upperclassmen and youth alike, see plenty of opportunity for great results in both track and field events.

By the Numbers• 20: In just his second year on the team,
Bryce DeBoer has broken the school record for both the weight throw and the shot put. His toss of 50' 5.25" in the shot at the Gene Glader Invitational broke a 20-year record at Bethel. He ranks No. 28 nationwide in the weight throw.
• 3000:
Matt Berens set a new PR in the men's 3,000-meter race last weekend when he ran a time of 8:32.49 at the St. Olaf Ole Qualifier. His time currently ranks No. 42 across the country.
• 15:
Cody Britt is one of three MIAC pole-vaulters to clear 15 feet this season. His best mark of 15' 2.75" ranks No. 2 across the conference and No. 40 in the nation.
Did You Know?• Bethel has touted an individual or relay conference champion every year for the last eight indoor meets. Among those eight meets were six relay and eight individual champions.
Off the Track (and Field)• Sophomore sprinter
Patrick Klamm has been involved with the NextGen program at the Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove all season long. Klamm serves as a mentor to three seventh grade boys, which involves meeting with them every week to connect in conversation about life and participate in activities together. Klamm notes, "I value having these relationships and it is a privilege to be an encouragement and an example to others."
