ResultsARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University men's track and field team ran, jumped and threw their way to another strong finish on Saturday in the Gene Glader Classic. The meet was hosted on Bethel's campus in the Sports Recreation Complex and marked the second and final home competition of the season.

The Royals success began with the opening event, the 60-meter hurdles, where freshmen
Colton Syler and
Phillip Anderson took fourth and sixth place, respectively.
The men also put on a strong performance in the 600-meter run, as teammates
Patrick Klamm and
Dan Wahlstedt captured two of the top four spots with times of 1:24.25 and 1:25.74, respectively.
While many of Bethel's young athletes starred on Saturday, senior and team captain
Matt Berens also notched a personal-best in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:21.17.
In addition, the Royals performed well in the field events with fellow team captain
Cody Britt leading the charge in the pole vault. Britt captured fourth place in the event with a height of 4.50 meters. Finishing off the meet for the Royals was
Bryce DeBoer, who took second place in both the shot put and weight throw events.
The Royals will now look to next Saturday's competition in Grinnell, Iowa, where they will participate in the Darren Young Classic.
