ARDEN HILLS, Minn. –
Taylor Hall (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) was awarded for the second time this week, as d3hoops.com recently selected him to his second Division III Team of the Week. Hall's dominant performance led to three conference victories for the Royals over Hamline, Concordia, and Macalester.
Hall not only averaged a double-double, with 22 points and 10 rebounds per game, but also recorded 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in the three conference matchups, while shooting 65.9 percent (27-of-41) from the floor. Hall started the week with 28 points vs. Hamline, 25 points against Concordia-Moorhead, and 13 points against Macalester in just 15 minutes of a 70-32 shootout.
The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 16
th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. This is Hall's second selection of the season, as he was honored among the five players
two weeks ago.
Hall added 27 points and nine rebounds to his stellar senior season last night against Augsburg, but the Royals came up just short, as the Auggies grabbed two key offensive rebounds in the final 30 seconds—edging Bethel 69-65.
The Royals will look to regain its ground in the conference standings Wednesday night, as they welcome Gustavus Adolphus to the Robertson Center Gym for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
