MIAC Release

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethel University's Nate Robertson (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performances last week.

Robertson had an outstanding week as he not only helped the Royals to a 2-1 record, but also reached a personal milestone in the process. Bethel's starting center averaged 19 points in his three games and recorded two double-doubles. On Monday against Carleton, Robertson was the game's leading scorer with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and the Royals were victorious 70-61. He then went on to score 14 points against Saint John's on 5-for-8 shooting from the floor, and 4-for-4 shooting from the free-throw line. His first two points of the night against the Johnnies helped him reach 1,000 in his career. Finally, on Saturday, Robertson scored a career-high 27 points and also came down with 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the week, and third of the season (all in the last five games). He is among the top 10 scorers in the conference and among the top five rebounders through last Saturday's games.

Robertson and the Royals continue their season as they host the Macalester Scots on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
