MENOMONIE, Wis. - Marie Borner (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.) had the fastest time in the 800 meter run by more than five seconds, and several other Royals had good performances in the UW-Stout Open today.

Other Royals turning in strong performances were Abby Furlong (Fr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) in the 55 meter hurdles and Kjersten Karlsgodt (Jr., Atwater, Minn.) in the high jump. Furlong finished fourth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.09 seconds, which was 0.25 seconds faster than her time from the same race one week ago. Karlsgodt finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.46 meters.

The Royals will now enjoy a week break and return to action on February 6th when they host their final home meet of the season, the Bethel Invitational.
