ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethel University's 4 x 400 meter relay team, consisting of Taylor Ferda (Jr., Whitefish, Mont.), Zach Schlegel (So., Woodbury, Minn.), Joel Quick (Jr., Johnston, Iowa), and Eric Rhode (Jr., Oakdale, Minn.), has earned the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Outdoor Track Athlete(s) of the Week award for its performance at the Drake Relays last weekend.

The team of ran a season best time of 3:15.00 on Friday night of the Drake Relays in 85 degree heat and wind to qualify for Saturday's final. The 3:15.00 places the Royals second on the NCAA Division III list to date and was the fourth fastest time in the college division at Drake. On Saturday, with cool and wet conditions, Bethel placed second in the finals behind Division II Lincoln University, with a 3:15.81 clocking.
