Moore Named MIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethel University's Vanessa Moore (Sr., Grantsburg, Wis.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for her performance the week of February 16, 2009.

Moore posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 1.66 meters (5 feet, 5.25 inches) in the high jump at the University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open this past weekend. Her jump is the ninth best in the country so far this season and ties her for the top mark in the MIAC. Moore also competed in the 200 meter dash where she finished seventh with a time of 26.89 seconds.

Bethel's next scheduled competition is slated for Friday with the Pre-Conference Meet, hosted by Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., beginning at 5 p.m.
