Royals in Ninth Place After First Day of MIAC Championships

COON RAPIDS, Minn. - Bethel finished the first day of the 54-hole MIAC Championships in ninth place with a collective score of 379 on the par 72, 5,857-yard Bunker Hills Golf Course. The Royals hold a firm 49-stroke advantage over Macalester, and trail Augsburg by just nine strokes. Hannah Hunstad (Sr., Medina, Minn.) was Bethel's low scorer with a first round total of 90. Paige Lemieux (So., Fargo, N.D.) was next in line with a 94. Ellie Wood (Fr., Shoreview, Minn.) and Erica Dennis (So., Waseca, Minn.) rounded out Bethel's top four with scores of 95 and 100, respectively. The Royals return for the second day of play on Sunday, beginning at 11:28 a.m. |
