Adams blanked the Carleton Knights and Bethel won the first game of the doubleheader 7-0. Tim Oesterlin (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) hit his third home run of the season and the Royals got some timely hits to add to their run total. They got just that as Tim Oesterlin (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) had a big day, including a three-run home run in the top of the seventh of game one, which proved to be the game winner. In game two, Chris Dent (So., Marietta, Ohio) pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings, but the damage had already been done. By the end of the afternoon, the two teams had played 20 innings of baseball - the equivalent of two nine inning games, and then some - each team garnering a win in one of the games. Bethel blanked Gustavus 3-0 behind the pitching of #Travis Adams# (Sr., Chanhassen, Minn.) and solid defense.
