I. Academics
Why did you choose Bethel?
I have family ties to Bethel. I also wanted to be engrossed in a Christian community and have a greater opportunity to grow in my relationship with Christ.
What do you enjoy about your major?
I love seeing God heal and work in people's lives. I also love the idea of working with people (especially athletes) on a day-to-day basis. It's a blessing to have the gifts and abilities to help people.
One class that every Bethel student should take…
First Aid
What is your favorite academic memory from BU? (project, internship, study abroad trip)
Project: making a sports center spoof on the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract disorders
II. Athletics
How would you define your role on and off the court?
On court, I lead through encouraging others, having a steady attitude, and by my work ethic. Off court, I lead through building relationships and seeking to help my teammates in any way.
What are the team goals for this spring on/off the track?
Team goal is to make the MIAC playoffs. I don't have a specific individual goal in terms of a record I'd like to achieve or any awards I'd like to win. Instead, my goal each day is this: "To play the best tennis I can today."
Biggest influence on your athletic career?
My dad.
III. Personal
Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
Brock Lesnar. I gave his daughter tennis lessons.
What song/band is most likely to be playing on your iPod?
Taylor Swift or MercyMe.
Do you have any pre-match rituals or traditions?
I always pray before each match. I also like to hit one serve as hard as I can in warm-ups, just to pump myself up.
What reality show could you see yourself being a part of?
The Bachelor. I'm considering it.
