MENOMONIE, Wis. - Despite allowing their first goal of the year, the Bethel Royals return home from a rainy day with their undefeated streak still intact. Fresh off of their conference win over Hamline University, the Royals continued their dominance on the road against the University of Wisconsin Stout Blue Devils with a 2-1 win.

It took the Royals offense an entire half to find its rhythm, as the two teams went into halftime tied at 0-0. Adjustments were made and the Royals broke the deadlock at the 65th minute when Brittany Griffore (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) scored her 8th goal of the year on a cross pass that found the far corner of the goal. It only took the Blue Devils' Jessica Price seven minutes to knot the game back at 1-1. The Royals answered back with the deciding goal in the 81st minute when Anne Fazio (Fr., Holland, Mich.) scored her fifth goal of the year on a rebound off of the crossbar.

The Bethel defense continued to play well as Alyssa Riggs (Jr., Columbia Heights, Minn.) anchored the Royals in net and finished the night with seven saves and picked up her fourth win as the starting keeper.

With tonight's win, the Royals improve to 7-0-1 on the year, while the sixth loss of the year by just one goal sends UW-Stout to 0-7-0. The Royals will resume MIAC play on Saturday, September 26 at 11 a.m. at home when they take on the University of St. Thomas.
