Bethel takes second at Augsburg Spring Invitational

HAM LAKE, Minn. - Bethel's Toby Robinson (Fr., Mankato, Minn.) and Tony Weber (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) both posted 78's and the Royals finished second at the Augsburg Spring Invitational with a collective 316. The single round tournament was played at the par 72, 6,818-yard Majestic Oaks Golf Course. Each of Bethel's next top three first team golfers posted a score of 80, tying them for 10th place in a field of 31 golfers. The Royals actually fielded two teams, and John Buyse (Sr., Anoka, Minn.) was the low-round golfer of the second team with a seven over par 79. The Royals are scheduled to play in one more event this season, and that's the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, in Northfield, Minn. |
