DES MOINES, Iowa - Bethel University's Marie Borner (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.) competed in the 1500 meter race on a windy and rainy day at the Drake Relays and finished fourth in a group of 12 runners at the prestigious event.

Borner's time of 4:29.76 is an automatic NCAA Division III championship qualifying time, however, she already assured herself of a trip to the national meet with a time of 4:27.74 earlier in the season at the Point Loma Invitational in San Diego. Borner was the only one of the dozen that was not from an NCAA Division I program.
