Madson Named to D3hoops.com All-American Third Team

SALEM, Va. - D3hoops.com has announced its 12th annual Division III men’s basketball All-American teams, and among the players on the different teams is Bethel University's Tim Madson (Sr., Redwood Falls, Minn.). The team was chosen by D3hoops.com staff from 342 nominations by schools.
Madson earned a spot on the All-American Third team, making it the first time in his career he has received th honor. Madson is a three-time All-MIAC first team award winner, and has been named to the D3hoops.com All-West region second team three years in a row as well. He finished the year averaging 18.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. His 511 points led the Royals and was second most in the MIAC. Tim was also the leading free throw shooter in the conference, shooting better than 90 percent at the charity stripe. Madson has also earned athletic awards from the College Sporting News and received an academic award from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He was a Jostens Trophy finalist this year, which is an award bestowed upon the Division III basketball player of the year. |
