D3hoops.com Release

MINNEAPOLIS - For the third season in a row, Tim Madson (Sr., Redwood Falls, Minn.) has been named to the D3hoops.com All-West Region Second Team, as selected by Sports Information Directors across the various schools nominating student athletes for the award. Madson joins four other players from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) on one of the three teams.

Madson is also a three-time All-MIAC first team award winner. He finished the year averaging 18.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. His 511 points led the Royals and was second most in the MIAC.  Tim was also the leading free throw shooter in the conference, shooting better than 90 percent at the charity stripe. Madson has also earned athletic awards from the College Sporting News and received an academic award from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He was also a Jostens Trophy finalist, which is an award bestowed upon the Division III basketball player of the year.
