TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Bethel University's Vanessa Moore (Sr., Grantsburg, Wis.) is now a three-time NCAA All-American. The senior high-jumper earned a trip back to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and made it count by finishing fifth among the 15 participants.

Moore previously finished in seventh place in the high jump at the indoor track and field championships in 2007, and tied for sixth in the same event in the outdoor championships later that year as well. This year, she cleared 1.61 meters (5 feet, 3.25 inches) to tie with another athlete from North Central College. The top seven finshers are awarded NCAA All-American status.

Bethel's Marie Borner (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.) and Heather Jelen (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) also competed in the preliminary race of the mile run. Borner advanced to tomorrow's final to try to defend her national championship in the same event last year with a time of 5:01.14, which was the best in her heat, but was fifth overall. Jelen made a valiant effort to join her in the race tomorrow, but fell short as she was tripped up and ended up finishing last in her heat.
