CSN Recap

ST. PAUL, Minn.
- The final week of the MIAC regular season was filled with history. St. Thomas became the second team to go unbeaten through league play since the MIAC expanded to a 20-game season in 1983. Carleton's Zach Johnson became the first MIAC player in a decade to pass the 2,000-career point barrier. Tony Thrasher ended his career as the seventh-leading scorer in Hamline's history, and Tim Madson took over fourth place among Bethel's all-time scoring leaders. John Fraase broke the school record for rebounds in a game and became the first Concordia player to score more than 30 points with over 20 rebounds in a game as Rich Glass earned the 500th win of his coaching career. Fraase also added the school's single season rebounding record to his resume.

A red-hot finish enabled Bethel to move into second place and the #2 seed in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs. Saint John's earned the #3 seed, sharing third place with Augsburg (#4) and Carleton (#5). Gustavus will be the sixth seed. Quarterfinal action on Monday will send Gustavus to Saint John's and Carleton to Augsburg, with St. Thomas and Bethel hosting the winners of Monday's game in Wednesday's semifinals. The MIAC Playoff championship game is slated for Saturday, Feb. 28 at the higher seeded team.

The Royals beat Gustavus 87-72 and Carleton 64-51 to cement their third-ever second-place finish.
