OSHKOSH, Wis. -
Dan Greeno (Sr., St. Michael, Minn.) finished in first place out of 551 runners and the Royals finished in 16th place out of 35 teams at the Brooks Invitational, hosted by UW-Oshkosh.
Greeno ran a 4:53-per mile pace to finish at 24:15.60, nearly nine seconds ahead of his nearest competitor from North Central College. North Central is ranked #1 in the nation and had five runners in the top seven of Saturday's race. Greeno ran nearly seven seconds better than his time in the same race a year ago.
Pulling in next for the Royals was Dan's younger brother,
Sam Greeno (So., St. Michael, Minn.) in 84th place with a time of 25:53.
Austin Hinrichs (Jr., Clara City, Minn.) came in 101st place at 26:10 as the third highest Bethel runner.
Brian Anderson (Sr., Andover, Minn.) and
Zach Haskins (Fr., Maple Grove, Minn.) rounded out the top five for the Royals at 26:16 and 26:34, respectfully.
Bethel will now turn its attention toward the MIAC Championships, which will be the next race on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Como Park in St. Paul.
