LAKE CITY, Minn. - On a great day for a round of golf, the Bethel Royals made the most of their afternoon out on The Jewel Golf Course by shooting a cumulative 378 - 10 strokes better than the Saint Mary's Cardinals.
The Royals have played in just three matches, and each time a different low scorer has emerged to lead the team. Today,
Hannah Hunstad (Jr., Medina, Minn.) parred nine of the 18 holes on the par 71, 5,875 yard course and finished with an 87.
Bree Eastlack (Sr., Rockford, Minn.) was the next lowest scorer with a 92.
Gia Puch shot an 88, while Katelyn Rizzi shot a 90 as the low scorers for the Cardinals.
"It was a good win for us today because Saint Mary's finished ahead of us last weekend, and we're seeing some good improvement in individual performances as well," said Head Coach Joel Johnson. The dual meet was Bethel's last scheduled tune-up before the 54-hole MIAC Championship Oct. 4-6 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn.
