BLAINE, Minn. -
Sandra Felten (Jr., Cashton, Wis.) scored her fourth game-winning goal of the season in overtime as the Royals came from behind for a much-needed win over the Hamline Pipers.

Bethany Murphy-Aultman (Jr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) had two assists on the night, which gives her 37 in her career.  Along with her 28 career goals, she is now tied with Heidi Govednik ('06) for the top spot as Bethel's all-time leading scorer.

Kassy Sullivan (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) tied the game at 1-1 with 2:30 left to play in regulation with the help of Stephanie Van Guilder (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) as well as Murphy-Aultman.

Sullivan then picked up the assist on the game-winning goal when she stopped on a dime behind the net and passed it out front to an open Felten, who, with the help of Murphy-Aultman, scored less than a minute into the sudden-death overtime period to give the Royals the win.

Alli Miller scored the Pipers lone goal at the 2:34 mark of the second period to give Hamline the lead at 1-0.

Beth Spurrier (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) recorded 30 saves on the night for her seventh win of the season, and helping the Royals to a 2-0-1 record in overtime.

The Royals keep their playoff hopes alive with the win, as they move to 4-7 in the conference and 7-9-1 overall.  They have now won more games than they did all of last season with seven games still left to play.  Hamline drops to 3-6-2 in the MIAC and 8-8-2 overall.  The same two teams will face off against each other tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m. at the Drake Ice Arena in St. Paul, Minn.

Taylor Ferda won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.75 seconds and was the lead runner on the 4 x 400 meter relay team that set a new school record and earned an NCAA provisional time in the event. Two weeks earlier, Ferda earned an NCAA provisional time in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.71 seconds. A bulk of her points came off of three-pointers, where she was 5-for-6, on her way to an 8-for-10 shooting display from the floor. Sheley scored 47 total points last week and averaged nearly three rebounds per game as well. Bethel has a pair of big games this week, first against St. Thomas, then against Gustavus.
