Sowles scored what proved to be the game-winning goal early in the second half of Bethel's 3-1 win over Saint Mary's last Saturday. The win helped Bethel go 3-1-1 in their last five games to finish at 9-7-2, which is the best winning percentage for the women's soccer program in its 16-year history. The goal was Sowles' ninth in her last five games, and helped her finish her career with 68 total points, which is good for the second highest all-time at Bethel after surpassing former teammates
Jessie Tschetter and Lauren Johnson.
Goalkeeper
Charli Sorensen (Sr., Park Ridge, Ill.) was also named Athlete of the Week earlier in the season, making it the first time Bethel has had two players earn the award in the same year.
